I’m always in the mood for some sweet iced tea. Occasionally, or maybe more than occasionally, I like to spike it.
With the warmer seasons around the corner, this drink is perfect to spice up a social gathering under the sun. Or to keep selfishly, in your fridge, only for yourself. Either one.
With only four ingredients, it’s sweet and simple.
- 2 cups cranberry juice
- juice of one lemon
- 1 1/4 cup mint sweet tea vodka, I used Firefly
- 1 1/2 cup sprite, or lemon-lime flavored soda
Maybe my favorite part of this whole recipe is the fact that you literally just pour everything into a decanter or pitcher and mix. No certain order or speed. I will say, if you’re not a big fan of cranberry juice, no worries-you don’t taste the cranberry. But you can also add a 1/4 cup more lemon and lime soda to mask any cranberry taste. I also cut up some peaches and garnished not only the glasses, but also placed some in the decanter. My second favorite part is the subtle minty-ness in the drink, thanks to the firefly mint tea vodka. That little hint of mint creates an even more refreshing cocktail.
