South Florida Coffee Travels

Happy Monday! I know for most of us, the one thing that can get us through the Monday Blues is a beloved cuppa coffee. And if I’m being completely honest, it’s what gets me through most days!

So, I decided to share some of Nathan and I’s favorite places in South Florida for a delicious, warm and comforting cup of coffee or latte.
coffee 1Cafe Demetrio. Nathan and I just love this place. Always on the quiet side and we love the outdoor seating in their cute little patio. Our go to coffee drink is the Cafe Demetrio. A rich, double shot espresso libation that is equally indulgent as it is awakening. It’ll definitely give you a caffeine kick! We almost always grab a ham and cheese croissant sandwich to pair of coffee with-the croissant is always buttery and warm.

We love trying different beans in our usual choices. Who knew a caramel macchiato could taste so many different ways!
coffee 3Chocolate Fashion. To say Nathan and I are obsessed with this place would be an understatement. We literally dream about the coffee and Banana Chocolate Specialty Pancake. We must come here a least 3 times a month.

All three of their locations are quite small, so we’d recommend always sitting outside where you can catch a breeze and have some extra elbow room. However, even getting cosy with strangers doesn’t put a damper on the delicious coffee. My drink of choice here is the Mocha Latte. OMG. You can taste the decadence of the chocolate, you don’t need to add even a pinch of sugar. His drink is just a regular ‘ole house coffee that he drinks black and with one sugar. He loves the flavor.

coffee 2Subculture Coffee. Nathan and I recently enjoyed a staycation in West Palm. Needless to say, we’re counting down the days to re-visit all of the coffee shops, calm beaches and cocktails joints.

This coffee shop is what a coffee shop is all about. Straight to the point, with still enough options to satisfy your coffee tooth. In our short trip, we made our way here twice. Hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. My drink of choice was the Mocha Latte and his the Vanilla Latte. Both we’re understated and delicious. Nothing too fancy, just really really good espresso. And thanks to Chocolate Fashion, the first place I’ve ever enjoyed a Mocha Latte, they’re kind of my jam right now-and Subculture didn’t disappoint.

latte-artWell, that’s it for now. Knowing us, we’ll be able to give you all another list in no time.

Until then, “I didn’t choose the mug life, the mug life chose me.”
