Sometimes the basics are the way to go. Once upon a time black and brown was a faux pas. Glad that’s behind us. Wearing basic pieces in basic colors has always been a go to of mine. Especially in the Fall, when neutrals are found on every shelf, pairing your favorite plain-Jane pieces is a simple way to pull together an effortless look.
I love a good shift dress. Add some long sleeves and it becomes my dress of choice during this season. When the base of your look is an LBD, it’s time to have fun with accessories. I didn’t skimp on them, but I did stick to a color scheme of taupe/brown. It’s not easy to find a pair of boots that’s simultaneously affordable and comfortable. So, you can imagine my excitement when I tried these heeled booties on, loved the fit and then saw the price tag was less than $50! Kept the color scheme strong with my trusty wool fedora and fringe scarf (that’s ONLY $16).
Lastly, how could I not finish this look with a bold red lip? 😉
Hope you had a happy humpday!
