Hey loves! I am beyond excited to share today’s post with you. To say I am a dog lover would be the understatement of the year. I am obsessed with not only my own dog, but almost every dog I come across. (Hide yo dogs! I might steal them). The emotional tear-jerking viral videos that make me cry are 90% about dogs and not humans. (Maybe 95%)
I know I am not alone in this love affair with these beautiful furballs. That’s why I decided to create the ultimate Dog Lovers Gift Guide! While most of these are for both owner and pet, I am totally that owner that would be completely fine with someone giving my dog a holiday gift in place of mine. Just to see that tail wag!
I’ll start with these awesome sofa covers, so your pet can cozy up with you on your couch. I think this is genius. As it is, my fiance and I are struggling trying to think of what kind of couch we are going to get, knowing our Oliver (pictured above <3) will most likely be joining us on it. This solves that problem. And when guests come over, or when hosting a gathering, simply take it off and you have yourself and fancy little couch situation.
Here are two of the best options I have found with the best reviews. Obviously the pricier one looks a little more luxe.
Next up, some home decor. I love a little humor on my walls, especially if it is in reference to those without dogs. Backstory, I am actually allergic to dogs and have 3. I’m talking itchy eyes, swollen tear ducts, swollen lips and rashes. So I don’t believe in any excuse defending a life without dogs! 😉 And how amazing is this dog portrait? For anywhere from $40-$150 you can buy your dog-loving friend a portrait of their furry love. I would cry if someone gave me this. Amazing.
Step aside fancy-shmancy coffee tables books that are more a bore than inspiring. How about these dog photography books that are sure to put a smile on anyone’s face? Fun fact: the Black Dogs Project book was actually inspired by one of Tumblrs most viral blogs which focused on the statistic that black dogs almost always the last to be adopted. Talk about a book that is heartwarming and a conversation starter. And let’s be honest, us dog lovers would completely cool if 90% of conversations were about dogs and dog welfare.
I love functional home decor. And when it comes to dog owners there are two things they can’t be without: a pet bed and a place to store their toys, leashes etc. This dog bed and woven floor basket are so pretty, they could easily compliment any room.
Lastly, are these two adorable gifts. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say over 50% of dog lovers/owners let their furbaby sleep in the bed with them. (Guilty!) These pillow cases could not be anymore true! Total bed hogs, snorers, loud dreamers….but I know us dog lovers wouldn’t have it any other way! The “minimergency kit” for dogs is practical and would make a great stocking stuffer!
There you have it! I had so much fun putting together this dog lovers gift guide. I am going to try my best to not buy everything on it for myself and my three pups!
