The Perfect Fall Cocktail Featuring Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer

I am so excited to be sharing the first Fall recipe of the season here on SLC, especially since it’s a delicious Autumn inspired cocktail. I always have a stocked bar filled with essentials that work for a variety of different cocktails. One of these essentials is ginger beer, and there is no better to have ready to go than Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer. When I’m mixing up cocktails I love making both traditional drinks and experimenting with creating new concoctions, that’s why I love having Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer on-hand to give any libation a delicious touch!

A little behind this delicious mixer: Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer originated in 1801 in Edinburgh, Scotland and has only been available in the U.S. since 2012. (So glad it made it’s way over here!) This ginger beer steeps natural fermented ginger for up to 6 weeks before blending it with 4 secret ingredients to create Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer.

Ok now for the drink you’ll be making all Fall, the Apple Ginger Snap. This cocktail is full of all of the flavors we look forward to every Fall. Flavors like cinnamon, ginger and apple-with a spike of spiced rum and Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer. From the muddled apples that release fresh juice to the crisp taste the ginger beer adds, you’ll be mixing this up all season!

Servings: 2

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 apple, cubed and muddled
  • 3 ounces spiced rum
  • 1 bottle of Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer
  • 6 ounces cup fresh apple juice
  • brown sugar, for glass rim
  • cinnamon stick for garnish

Dip the rim of the glasses in water then in brown sugar to lightly coat. Slice apple into small cubes and place evenly in the bottom of the two glasses, then muddle. Pour 1 1/2 ounces of the rum, 3 ounces of fresh apple juice and a few ice cubes into each glass and stir. Top off each drink with half of one bottle of Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer. Finish by placing a cinnamon stick in each drink and enjoy!
