Although it’s rare to experience really cold weather living here in Miami, we do get some lovely chilly and crisp weather once the holiday season rolls in. Which I can’t believe is here already! Every year once the season arrives there are always a handful of products I love to have on hand to keep me cozy and healthy so I won’t catch any colds! Today I’m sharing…
What I need When the Weather Gets Chilly
First up is the Zippo Mini Flex Candle Lighter which I am obsessed with. I have candles lit in my home all year long, but of course there is nothing like lit candles during the holiday season and when the weather is cold out. And as often as I light candles you would think I would be fearless of the little flames, but nope. I have a mini heart attack each time thinking I’m going to burn my fingers. The really cool flex neck part this lighter makes is easy to reach those low wicks too! Can you tell I not only love candles but this Zippo Lighter?!
Which brings me to my next cold weather necessity….
My Chesapeake Bay Candle. I’ve shared before what a candle enthusiast I am, as I just love having yummy scents fill the air at home. They’re comforting and relaxing. Which is why I love this balance + harmony scent that is enriched with natural essential oils and made with soy blend wax. I’m also a stickler for candle quality. If the candle doesn’t fill up a room with the scent and have a good burning time, I’m not impressed. However, this Chesapeake Bay Candle meets my requirements for a candle worth buying and lighting in your home.
Ok now onto some products that help promote a health during this season, which all know is probably the worst season to get sick with all of the fun parties and events to attend! I tried Zoganic, a vitamin supplement, for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I like it for a number of reasons: It’s certified organic, breaks down sugars + starches + proteins + fats and is good for the immune system. It’s usually really hard for me to keep up with taking supplements, mainly because I forget-which is ironic considering there are vitamins for memory too….but anyway, I like that I can put Zoganic in any drink or smoothie and the fruity tastes are actually pretty good.
Next up is a good read, of course. It isn’t a cozy winter without a few good books. I’m actually really excited to continue reading Links by Lisa Becker. I usually never read romances, because I don’t like the idea of a drawn out love story and repeated chases between the two people. This is the same reason I don’t watch a lot of popular TV shows. I like a romances in books the way I do in real life. Always moving and evolving at a good pace. I can tell that’s how this novel is and I’ve only just started it. It’s definitely a book you can read in a weekend-which I also love when it comes to romance novels. Here’s the plot: “A second chance romance novel that explores what happens when two high school classmates have a chance encounter after 15 years.”
Last, but not least, Tea Forte – Warming Joy Collection. Me (and my husband) are pretty obsessed with the holiday tea flavors. While I’m picky about my teas, but husband is even pickier and we both give Tea Forte – Warming Joy Collection a thumbs up. Plus, how cute is the holiday box presentation? Love it!
