Today’s recipe is $5 Per Person Taco Pasta! Technically, this meal come in under $5 per person, which is pretty awesome. It offers 4 hefty servings. My favorite thing about this Taco Pasta is how it feels hearty and is full of flavor, but is still healthy. It’s a simple recipe with wholesome ingredients and totally tastes like you’re enjoying a meat taco! If you prefer chicken, swap the ground beef for shredded chicken breast.

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1lb Marketside Butcher Organic Grass-Fed Ground Beef
  • 1 8oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 16oz box of pasta
  • 1 packet of Great Value Original Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 2 cups Great Value Organic Vegetable Broth
  • 2 TBS minced garlic
  • 1/2 red pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 yellow onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Cook pasta and set aside. Add ground beef to pan over medium heat with the minced garlic and season with salt and pepper to taste. Once meat is cooked through, add 1/2 the taco seasoning mix and the chopped peppers and onions to the pan. Cook together for a few minutes. Add in 1/2 the amount of vegetable broth and tomato sauce. Continue cooking together for 5 minutes and mixing until thoroughly combined. Lower heat to medium-low, toss in the pasta, the remainder of the vegetable broth, tomato sauce and taco seasoning mix. Once combined very well together, serve. Garnish option: grated cheese of your choice!
