Today I’m sharing my favorite protein snacks! I’ve gotten lightyears better at my protein intake and actually do a pretty good job most days, but it’s still the part of my diet I struggle with the most, having to actively focus on it in order to not be in a daily deficit. I physically and mentally feel the difference when I’m eating good amount of protein everyday, so I try my very best to!
I don’t love eating meat all of the time, so I don’t rely on it as my main source of protein. So, besides the other protein snacks I whip up in the kitchen, I rely on these convenient protein snacks to help me out.
my favorite protein snacks
Lenny & Larry’s cookies have always been a go-to of mine. Both their soft cookies and little crunchy cookies, although if I had to choose, I prefer the crunchy ones. My favorite flavor of those are the toasted coconut and my favorite flavor of the soft cookie is snickerdoodle.
A brand that is newer to me is Catalina Crunch. They have quite a few products, but so far I’ve been eating the chocolate mint sandwich cookies and cinnamon toast cereal. Both are good! The cereal tastes like cinnamon toast crunch except a little less sweet-which I prefer. The bag isn’t that big, so creating a trail mix or pouring them on top of oatmeal or yogurt are good ways to make it last.
Out of all of my favorite protein snacks, the one I eat the most often are the Kodiak Chewy Granola Bars. They are SO tasty, I love eating them with my morning coffee and always have a few in my car.
Yogurt has never been my thing. I eat it, because it’s good for me and because the one I eat gives me tons of protein too. I eat Oikos Pro 20g or 15g protein. This is a daily snack I eat that I notice a difference if I ever go a few days without it. My stomach feels good (a lot of stuff makes me bloat) my energy is better and I just feel all together better.
Highkey makes the yummiest little crunchy cookies. They’re actually pretty sweet (I’ve got be in the mood for something real sweet) so they will no doubt cure any sweet tooth.
I’m so picky with protein shakes and most gross me out, but OWYN shakes are SO good. I’m not a big chocolate fan, but the chocolate flavor is delicious.
For a classic protein and meal replacement bar, I’ll eat a MET-RX bar. It’s really heavy, but again it’s a meal replacement bar. And for being such protein heavy bar, it’s pretty yummy!
