As often as I’m in the kitchen baking, I’ve never owned or used a stand mixer. Well, up until 2 months ago, when I purchased the Drew Barrymore Beautiful Stand Mixer from Walmart. I’m of course very familiar with the kitchen aid mixer; I actually just bought one for mom for Christmas. Purchasing the Drew Barrymore Beautiful mixer was kind of on a whim. While shopping at Walmart, I saw how pretty it was and the price difference between this stand mixer and a kitchen aid one is hundreds of dollars, so I thought I’d give it a try.
I was between the black or white and ended up opting for the color “white icing”, but all of the colors are so pretty. I love the matte look of the mixers and the gold detailing.
Drew Barrymore Beautiful Stand Mixer Review
So, first up is the size. I love the 5.3QT size of this stand mixer. I needed it to be substantial enough to help me get a lot mixed at once, but small enough to not look too bulky on my countertop and to fit nicely underneath my cabinets.
Next, the mechanism is great. 12 speed settings with attachments like a Flat Beater, Dough Hook and Stainless Steel Wire Balloon Whisk. 2 months into owning and using this stand mixer, I’ve used all of the attachments and they all work very well.
Lastly, clean up is easy. This was another important factor for me, because although hand mixers can be annoying to have to carry, they’re the easiest thing to clean-just press a button to pop out the attachments and voilà. Between the splash guard that comes with this stand mixer and the design of the attachments, clean up is a breeze.
Overall, I’d highly recommend this Drew Barrymore Beautiful Stand Mixer. The price, aesthetic and function impressed me.
